So I pick up a couple shish kabobs at the store yesterday and cook them up for lunch (with a little corn on the cob)and I start to think (UH OH LOL!).
Now these were your pretty standard issue kabobs. You know, meat, maters, peppers, onions nothing to fancy. Ok, back to whatever I was rambling about. Oh yeah, I started thinking about other things on sticks and other things that could be kabobed (is that a word.) How about marshkabobs. You could put a bunch of marshmallows on a stick and cook them up Or maybe fishkabaobs using fish instead of meat or chicken. How about a kabob kabob where you take a bunch of shish kabobns and put them on an even bigger stick Then I thought, hey you could do it with things you dont cook. Twinkie kabobs! how about a kabob made with those fun size candy bars I guess you could really kabob just about anything. You could put your monthly bills on a stick to keep them all together. You kinda kabob your clothes when you hang them up. A corn dog is kind of a kabobed hot dog. A fruit and juice bar is like kabobed ice. I guess this mindless rambling can only lead to one conclusion. The whole world is at one time or another kabobing. And that is kinda

Shishk Away!

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">If your steak is really that good, there's no need for A-1. None. Zero. Zilch.

The flavour of the steak alone should be good enough.

It depends. I may not dip it into A-1 on every piece, but some pieces the A-1 compliments it. I agree, a really good steak can be eaten without the benefit of any condiments at all, but is equally good with some A-1..

But given a choice between a steak or a plate full of Jumbo Gulf Shrimp, the shrimp win every time.

Damn you Greg.

I'm a big fan of steak. I'll take a strip or a ribeye or a porterhouse over a fliet, simply because they have more flavor. (I'm good with a filet too though) KInda the other option. It was either the kabob or a strip. I went with the Kabob as a change of pace.

I've used A-1 a time or two. It kinda depends on the quality of the steak. Like a baker, fries are better with ribs due to the dunkability and the BBQ sauce. (I like BBQ sauce on my fries)

Yeah, I did the old ham and cheese with lettuce, maters and pickles for lunch with some chips and peach iced tea.

How about a rare strip with a shrimp cocktail intro to it. Maybe a little salad in between. A glass of wine or an ice cold

I know I should let this thread die, but this is mildy ironic and funny.

I went out to dinner last night, and got corn on the cob.,,,

It came out not only on a stick, but it had a stick out of both ends.
It was a corn on the cob kabob LOL!
